Fresh Homemade Salsa

As the Garden becomes more plentiful in August, I like to make a fresh salsa for a gathering with friends or a weekend day with the family, for a little appetizer along with some yummy tortilla chips! Have Fun with it! You can even use this as a base & do all kinds of renditions of your own! Throw in a mango or pineapple even!!

Ingredients:

3 cups cherry tomatoes, cut in halves

1 can drained & rinsed black beans (optional)

1/4 cup chopped green peppers

1/4 cup Cubanelle peppers

1 cup onion, diced

2 TBSP. fresh lime juice

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper or chili powder

1/2 tsp. ground cumin

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1/2 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions:

Stir in all ingredients into a bowl & serve. You can put the ingredients into a food processor & pulse if you want first, to get a different consistency, but personally, I prefer the chunky style. Enjoy!!
