I bought in bulk many different types of flours for the first time from a local co-op last winter & I am glad I did! I still have, many months later, a lot of the flours left! So I decided to combine them together, along with some starches I also purchased there, and make my own all-purpose g-free flour, as I use it so very often, almost daily in fact! So here’s the recipe for making your own gluten free all-purpose flour. It’s been used for countless baking recipes & even some savory dishes & works quite well!
All-Purpose G-Free Flour Blend:
3 cups Brown Rice Flour
1/2 cup Sorghum Flour
1 cup Potato Starch
1/2 cup Tapioca Starch
2 tspns Xanthan Gum (You can omit if you’d like, but you will have to add separately to most g-free recipes, especially for binding)
