Hot Cocoa

It’s that time of year when we need a comforting drink on occasion & what better way than with a homemade hot cocoa, one without all of the additives & preservatives? It’s rich & creamy!

Ingredients:

2 cups almond milk

2 tspns unsweetened cocoa

2 TBSPN Enjoy Life vegan mini chocolate chips

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 tsps real maple syrup

Directions:

Heat all ingredients in a saucepan & whisk as it heats. It will be done within minutes. Pour as-is, but I have a Cocoa-motion blender that I place it in after to make it a little frothy. A hand mixer works too!

Feel free to add my homemade whipped topping, from a previous post, or add vegan marshmallows & top with some shaved dark chocolate. It’s so Yummm!!!!

*Another Tip: Around the Holidays, I like to add 1/4 tsp of Peppermint extract into the heating process for a festive touch!

  • In some of the pictures used in my blogs, you will notice the name: Food Stylist Rachel Cournoyer. She is the Photographer/ Food Stylist  that is working on the cookbook with me. I make the food & drinks & she takes the marvelous pictures! She is a very good friend of many years & is very talented, otherwise I take them on my phone. I love when she’s able to take the pictures! 😉
