A weekend ago, I threw a Rat Pack style Cocktail Party & it was a Blast!! I made some drinks from the Rat Pack Era, but changed them a little, plus I added a few modern ones. Here are 2 of the drinks served that night.

Appletini
1 1/2 oz. (3 parts) Vodka
1/2 oz. (1 part) Apple schnapps
1 1/2 oz. (3 parts) sweet & sour mix
Directions:
Mix in a shaker then pour into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with a cherry & serve.
Amaretto Sour:
1 1/2 oz. amaretto liqueur
1 oz. sweet & sour mix
1 TBSP Rose’s Grenadine syrup
1 1/2 oz. lemon lime soda
ice
Directions:
Pour into a chilled low ball glass with ice. Stir. Garnish with a cherry.
Among these, I also made for the guests: a new style Tom Collins, a “Best Dressed” punch, Cranberry gin & tonic, and for the non-drinkers: “The Deano”. The Deano consists of apple juice & seltzer water. It was a delicious Mocktail! Little known fact that I read: Dean Martin drank this on stage when performing; hence the name, “The Deano”. 🙂
**Tip: Presentation is everything! Make sure to keep it very simple. Don’t over-dress a cocktail or a mocktail. Also, these are tasty, but potent. Please drink with caution & take it slowly.

Thank you to my friend Rachel, once again, for her photo taking!
