Seasoned Sauteed Tofu with Honey Mustard Sauce

Breakfast is always a wonderful, fun time for me to cook & bake for my family! I’ve been thinking of different types of recipes to try instead of the tried & true recipes. Time to stretch to new recipes! Here is a recipe I developed for this morning’s breakfast for my son & me. It’s a lovely savory dish that has a little tang with the sauce. It’s a rustic dish with nice flavor. We loved it! Hope you will too! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 PKG of Extra Firm Tofu

2 TBSPNS Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 TBSPNS gluten free Soy Sauce

1 TBSPN Rice Vinegar

1/2 tsp Celery salt

1 tsp Onion powder

1 tsp Garlic powder

1 1/2 tsps Ground mustard

1/4 tsp Turmeric

1/8 tsp Cumin

1/8 tsp ground Ginger

Honey Mustard Sauce:

2 TBSPNS yellow Mustard

1 TBSPN organic raw Honey

Directions:

1) Squeeze out excess liquid out of Tofu & blot dry. Cut into 1″ – 1 1/2″ slices.

2) Heat Olive oil in large sautee pan.

3)Place slices of Tofu in heated pan & sprinkle in the soy sauce, vinegar & spices on top.

4) Cook on med-high heat on first side for approximately 5 minutes. Flip over & cook for another 3 minutes or so until browned, but not burnt. Cook to your liking.

5) Plate with Honey Mustard in small dish off to side of plate & with fresh herbs of your choice. I used lemon sage, oregano & basil from my garden.

Enjoy! 🙂
