Monday’s Happenings

Happy Monday!! How was everyone’s weekend? I had a very special weekend this past weekend! I celebrated my birthday with my family and the weather was lovely! Saturday, My husband, son and I shopped my favorite places! First we shopped at Home Goods and found some great beachy items and then stopped home for lunch. We then proceeded to our local thrift store and found some great beach decor! Our total for the thrift store was $11!! Home Goods was much more, but still found some great decor items! The last place on our adventure was an indoor flea market in the next town over where I found a few great decor items including a lamp for $10, that had such a beachy vibe to it for our guest room! My son found some great cd’s for his car player and a couple of DVD’s. He loves shopping for that stuff!! We had a lovely dinner and watched some 80’s themed movies!

Some of my great Home Goods finds

Sunday, my daughter joined us for a beautiful breakfast that my husband prepared for us and we ate on the backyard deck. We went swimming, played outdoor and board games, had a delicious lunch also prepared by my hubby, swam some more, and opened wonderful thoughtful gifts from my family. After my daughter went home for the day, the boys and I played more games indoors, had dinner prepared for me by, you guessed it, the best hubby in the world, and had a pedicure done. We watched more movies then went to bed, exhausted! It was perfect!!

In the morning, I had a Bulletproof coffee with breakfast, that I have pretty much every breakfast. This is the recipe:

Ingredients:

Bulletproof coffee brand coffee* (this is a mold free coffee, yep most coffee brands have mold in their coffee) (I like these two different strength coffees: “The Mentalist” & “French Kick” One is lighter coffee and the other is a medium variety), 12 oz cupful from a pour your own pod from a single cup machine part

Bulletproof brand Innerfuel prebiotic powder*, 1 scoopful

Organic Collagen powder, 1 scoopful

Organic MCT oil, 1 tsp

1 Tbsp grass-fed butter

Dash of ground cinnamon

Almond milk, good quality, unsweetened, to taste

** For special occasions: I add Coconut milk whipped cream to top with

Directions:

  1. Make a pod or pour from a pot of coffee, a 12 oz cup
  2. Place in blender the coffee along with the rest of the ingredients until all blended together.
  3. Serve hot or set in fridge for a half hour or so for a colder coffee.
  4. Top with whipped cream if you’d like. I only do this on special occasions.

This is a healthier delicious coffee! Hope you enjoy!!

*I have no affiliation with this company and am not sponsored by them, I just love their coffee and trust it’s brand. I am not sponsored by any of these products. I just really love their products. 😊
