What a difference a day makes…

Yesterday here in New England, it was uncharacteristically cooler than usual for this time of year, but very pleasant, and today, phew!!! The heat is stifling! I have been inside doing paperwork today for most of the day and just stepped out this late afternoon for some fresh air and to add to the compost and recycle bins, when, whoomp!! Smacked in the face with the heat!! I decided to pick the plethora of blueberries and raspberries that are growing in abundance in the garden & luckily my husband came outside to take over. Having asthma, the heat can be pretty intense and a struggle to breathe at times. It took me a bit of time, but feeling better again in the air conditioning. I keep on checking on my hubby. Phew! This heat! I am happy to report that the blueberries are more in number this year than ever before! They are also larger than usual! Yay! I really enjoy the fruit mixed together from the garden at breakfast time, as well as throughout the day! Thankfully they’re good for you and packed with polyphenols, because I do love to eat those berries!!

While exploring the gardens here at the cottage, I am happy that daisies are blooming now and the clematis is in bloom!!My sunflowers are getting taller and will be blooming before I know it!! The ever-changing garden gives me so much joy and is always full of surprises!!
