Here Comes Peter Cottontail…

on

This is an exciting week for me! Preparing for Easter and being outside more, watching the buds on the trees and bushes appear, flowers popping out of the ground, grass getting greener, all of it, is always like an instant mood changer. I am finding myself happier and excited to plant my veggies and some annuals in the gardens, as well as bake some goodies for Easter and shop for what I need for our Easter dinner. And yes, I still color eggs! We’ll be doing that on Saturday. I’m a big kid when it comes to that!! My husband and adult son still join me on this fun and creative Easter activity.

I’m preparing for the adult egg scavenger hunt too and we’re getting so excited for the big day!! This holiday in our household is a big holiday for us!! I wait all year for this day!! I have such fond memories of it as a child and it’s relaxed and hopeful. I love it!!

Pretty yellow flowers saying”Hello Spring”!
Homemade chocolate eggs made with Enjoy Life chocolate chips and an egg candy mold I purchased from Amazon

I’ve watched my Easter movies and re-watched a couple of them, and have been preparing my dinner for Sunday with some family and also getting started on my garden plans. The rain has been helpful with watering some plant transplanting, watering in the new grass seed and helping our gardens grow!! April showers… πŸŒ¦οΈβ˜”πŸŒˆ

Our kitchen renovations were put on hold while we focused on putting in a new front yard brick walkway. My husband, Paul really enjoyed putting that in and is almost finished. It’s been so nice getting outdoor work done!! We have quite a To-Do list for Spring, but we’re pacing ourselves and enjoying the process.

Almost there and then we can cleanup, add mulch, finish the front yard redo and move on to other projects.
Raining gently this morning. Looking forward to putting up new picket and other wooden fencing up soon too!

Is anyone else doing any outdoor projects, or planning out their gardens? What are you up to?

I’m sitting at the breakfast table looking out my kitchen windows watching the gentle rain, water our gardens and greening up our beautiful trees and flowers, plants and grass. I love to watch a gentle rain on a Spring morning!! β˜”πŸ¦†

Have a lovely Easter week and a Happy Easter!! πŸ‡πŸ§ΊπŸ₯š
