After a busy week, my family and I were able to have a relaxing weekend and enjoy time together. We’ve been preparing our YouTube channel and getting a lot of projects done around the gardens, so it was so nice to relax and enjoy. The weekend started with a night of movies and rest. Saturday started with a lovely breakfast and games. My amazing husband took over some of the recipes for our picnic/cookout with our children and daughter’s boyfriend as a migraine took over. The whole day was about rest for me and my husband was a prince to prepare some of the recipes and take such excellent care of me.

Sunday was a lovely day (thankfully, I felt much better). Our daughter and her boyfriend were with us and we enjoyed a delicious cookout and time together. It ended by watching our nephew graduate high school by television as we couldn’t be there in person. A Huge Congratulations to our nephew, Tyler!!

Monday started with sitting on the front porch in the early morning on a gorgeous day. My husband, Paul and I could hear bagpipes in the distance honoring our Veterans at a nearby cemetery and we were struck by the emotional moment and sat in silence thinking of all of those we know and don’t know who have fought for our freedom. We Honor you.

Soon after we enjoyed a cereal breakfast bar with classic cartoons and then we were outside by the pool the rest of the day playing games, listening to the Beach Boys, swimming and having a beautiful time together. Later that evening, after a fabulous meal and more games, we sat by the fire outside and ended with watching “The Force Awakens” on the big screen outdoors.
