Good Morning all!! How was all of your weekends? I had such a fun, yet relaxing weekend with my husband and son & also got to see my daughter! We had gorgeous snow falling over the weekend and were all cozied up by the fire reading, playing games, writing a bit & talking and laughing a ton!( I always do so much laughing with my husband and son!! 😂🤣) We had delicious food and I was invited to join my husband’s & son’s Dungeons and Dragons adventure. I wasn’t sure I would like it, as it’s not usually my type of thing, but I really enjoyed the adventure and was so touched that I was asked to join their special time together. I actually enjoyed myself!
On Sunday, I brought more of my books to our local diner, where they’ve been selling really well, and paid a quick visit to our daughter. We visited a local small artisan shop in town as well and bought some lovely mittens that were super warm, for my son. It’s so nice to see more artisan shops around town. I would rather shop through the smaller shops, personally.
Today, when waking this morning, there was a beautiful light snowfall falling and it made the most spectacular light covering everywhere that was shimmering in the sunlight!! While watching this gorgeous spectacle occur, I sat by the fire and enjoyed my delicious oatmeal!!
1 cup gluten free quick oats
1/4 cup Califia Farms caramel pecan creamer
2 cups almond milk
1/4 cup flaxseed meal
1/4 cup sliced almonds
2 Tbspns almond butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 large banana, sliced
1 Tbspn real maple syrup, optional (for sweetness)
- Place all in medium saucepan on stovetop and stir and cook until bubbling hot and let sit to side for a minute. Serve warm.
