Those Monday Blues…

on

Happy Monday everyone! It’s been quite gloomy here most of this month and some of last month, with tons of rain and grey skies. It’s been an uncharacteristically cooler summer for the most part. It’s been feeling more like Fall than Summer. Ugh. I need my summer weather to swim in my pool and enjoy the summer adventures that I love! We did have, however, beautiful blueberries aplenty and ravishing roses this year in the garden. The raspberries didn’t do as well this year though. My lettuce is abundant this year and after a few years of not growing squash, at my daughter’s suggestion due to certain insects that bore in the squash, I am finally seeing beautiful squash after being able to reintroduce them to the garden again! Yay! With every bit of sunshine or a stop in the rain, I’m outside harvesting crops and hanging out of doors for a spell.

Some blueberries picked in the garden

This early evening with the hubby, we took a nice, leisurely stroll on our trail and walked around our gardens to talk about future garden plans and reminiesce about what the garden started out as, and how much it’s changed through the years. We still have a ways to go. We enjoy working on the gardens and our little cottage and seeing the changes as we change. It’s always nice to see how far we’ve come and what more we can do. We truly enjoy taking care of our little dream cottage.

As we were sitting on the swing by the pond, a lovely frog was singing to us. It certainly caught our dog, Bella’s attention!

Oh the daisies!

I have to admit, I’m a bit disheartened that my paperback is still not available. When contacting Amazon about it, the response was that they’re experiencing ‘technical difficulties” and that they were aware of the situation and fixing the problem. I am so sad that it’s been delayed, but I still have my ebook available for now. Fingers crossed that it’ll be available within the next few days.
